OLOGY
I love finding patterns and telling society’s stories with numbers. Qualitatively grounded and then quantitatively enacted through methods like machine leaning and natural language processing, my analyses have appeared in the New York Times and other news outlets. My research started in media prejudice with a PhD at the intersection of political science, social psychology, and mass media. Inclusion
I created the Inclusion Index featured in this HBR article, which operationalizes a hard-to-measure but critical idea by breaking it down into seven dimensions: integrating differences, decision making, psychological safety, trust, belonging, and diversity. The Inclusion Index is now used by hundreds of corporations, with the possibility of helping millions of employees around the world feel more included. Feels especially important in the current era of DEI backlash. Read more

Disease Management
As someone living with a chronic condition, I started tracking my symptoms over time and analyzing the data. The approach — a combination of deep learning, neural networks, and AI — has been included in patents for tracking disease progression, symptom reduction, and drug dosing. Read more
